Kylie Morgan Shares Her “Heartland” Story
Kylie Morgan began playing music when she was 12 years old, and has been creating songs from the heart since.
At 13, she wrote a song called “Our Miracle” for a friend who was dying from cancer. At 15, she posted a song called “Phoebe” to her YouTube page, which became an anthem for the Pacer Center’s National Anti-Bullying Campaign. Then, at 17, she shared the song and video below after her family lost everything in a tornado that all but destroyed Moore, Oklahoma. (If you want to hear most of Kylie’s music, listen here or check out her YouTube page.)
We all face hardships in life, but music and community can often be two of the most powerful tools we turn to for strength to move forward. What does hearing songs like this mean to you?
